  • Heralding "the Herald" Feedback, Pt.1
      What's all the hoopla?

As was reported in my last few articles, the latest scoop is the revelation of yet another leak in the inner workings of the mechanisms of some of our highest-level politicians and their credit cards. This one erupted as a skirmish between the two top contenders, both vying to become the next US Senator for the State of Florida. Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist. The revelation about Rubio's significant credit card abuse and betrayal of the trust bestowed by contributors to the Republican Party and the voters of Florida in general quickly became issues. The source to have leaked the evidence of the credit card abuse hasn't yet been established but it is widely rumored to have come from out of the Crist camp. Since the Crist campaign has not denied this, it seems like a safe conclusion.

Meanwhile, the flux continues. Both the Miami Herald and the St. Pete times have banded together to figure this one out. How is the public receiving this? What about the contributors and other party leaders who could be dragged down by all this. What do they have to say? Well, as reported by both the Miami Herald and the St. Pete Times, we have some interesting takes. How serious is alleged credit card abuse by a leading politician to the different groups? As one might expect, unfortunately, the reaction to the credit card abuse from the different groups reflects the underlying motives that each groups holds.

For example, the far Right group is largely okay with credit card mis-use so long as it supports their cause. Some, like Senate President Mike Haridopolos and incoming House Speaker Dean Cannon, want it brushed over as far as the voters are concerned. Together, they have announced their intent that only "professional auditors" should ever know the truth. The voters of Florida certainly don't need the "interference of a media circus surrounding the release of any records.'' The voters need not get involved. People of 'the Party' will take care of everything. Who better to decide what's fair then the other partakers?
