    Facebook.com and Chase Team Up

Facebook.com the massively successful collegian meet-and-greet site, has begun to run ads for Chase credit cards. Chase and Facebook inked a deal to create hype for the Chase products among the millions of teen and 20-something users on the site. The partnership is set to last for one year, and makes Chase the exclusive credit card sponsor of Facebook.com, as well as giving the credit card giant a huge foothold among young consumers, many of whom may be first-time card users.

Under the deal, Facebook will run ads inviting users to join a social networking group based around credit card education and use of services. Members will have the chance to earn rewards points by completing such activities as signing up for card offers, and paying bills on time, which they then have the option of cashing in for charitable contributions or tangible merchandise. Selected "ambassadors" of the program will have the opportunity to earn even more – and bigger- prizes by completing weekly tasks and recruiting classmates to sign up.
