    The Pitfalls of Perfect Credit

Everyone wants great credit. The process of getting yourself up and over the magical "700" – the threshold of impeccable credit – is hard enough. What you may not know, however, is that good credit is not a place to rest on your laurels. It is true that the bigger they are, the harder they fall – and, in real life, that translates to the fact that, when your credit score gets up in the stratosphere, there are a plethora of small mistakes that can knock you down hard.

These days, everything from a late fee at the library to a forgotten parking ticket can end up in collections – and all it takes is one little blip on your credit report to take your score down big time. The key is to pay your bills on time, every time. There is no way to protect your credit scores if you end up in a dispute over even a minor discrepancy. Being meticulous is your best defense. If you have high credit, you clearly already have good habits. The key is to maintain it, to keep enjoying the benefits of financial scrupulousness.
