    Visa Gets in On Pharmaceuticals

Caremark Rx and Visa have teamed up to offer an innovative new card that rewards consumers for choosing generic and preferred prescription drugs. The "Caremark Visa" from Bank of America is tied in to Caremark Rx pharmacy purchases, for which cardholders can earn "WorldPoints." Cardholders refilling existing prescriptions by phone or internet are eligible for bonus points.

Cardholders can also score extra points by registering or updating an online profile on Caremark's web site with personal information and a credit card number. The card will have no annual fee, and is available to all consumers covered by a Caremark prescription plan, or those enrolled in a Caremark discount club program.
