Subway's First Cash Card
When Subway discontinued its long time "stamp" loyalty cards in 2005, the move was met with public disfavor. They have since rolled out an electronic loyalty card that hasn't quite made the transition as of yet. As a way, perhaps, to make it up to fans of their subs, Subway has introduced its first-ever reloadable gift card / cash card.
The healthful fast-food giant, which boasts over 21,000 stores in North America, will offer the "Subway Cash Card" in denominations between $5 and $100. Customers can register their cards online to safeguard their balance against loss or theft. There is no expiry, nor any hidden (re: inactivity) fees associated with the card. Fans of the world's largest sandwich shop can give the cards as gifts, or keep them for themselves – those registering cards online will also be eligible for occasional rewards.
