  • News:  The greedy sell their own mothers down the river

How so? By shooting down Obama's healthcare reform. Even a moron can see that medical costs are out of control. Even a moron knows if he can't afford health insurance, he won't get adequate health care. That's where we're at today and the status quo dictates that things will continue to worsen at an accelerating rate. The mothers (and fathers as well as millions of other elderly) are going bust over medical bills while the greedy don't care. Their having to max out credit cards for healthcare. With healthcare costs rising three times as fast as their fixed incomes, the only resource they have left is the credit card. Of course this segment isn't the only one being thrown "under the bus" but their plight is the fastest growing. Already, they average a $10,235 running credit card balance.

By trashing Obama's Healthcare Reform, These greedy and powerful are opting for the status quo. They've got what they need and care about no one else. Meanwhile, the elderly are having to run up credit card debt even faster then medical costs are rising. Up 26% from 2005. Things got rough after Bush's second term picked up speed. Regulation went out the window for the medical industry as both health insurance and healthcare industries racked up windfall profits by rationing healthcare to only the more wealthy. Right now, a full 12.5% of our elderly must spend almost half of their incomes just keeping up payments on credit cards and other medical-related debt.

So, the greedy who are adamantly opposed to the "public option competition" are really saying "What's the problem in that? Long-live capitalism!". They're saying that "If we allow the government to regulate medical costs via competition, we'll all be communists by tomorrow and reign in the Antichrist the following day". At last spotting, the average retired senior citizen owes about $4,000 in credit card charges for medical expenses. Of course this figure will keep rising until either the government can force the medical industry to curb their greed or else the credit card lenders cut the elderly off and they start dying. It seems like the Republicans are opting for the latter.
