News: Jackson & Cocker Offer Temp Physicians Visa
With the rising costs of doing business and the massive increases in credit card defaults, lenders are searching for creative ways to market their financial product in a safer environment. Credit card companies have narrowed the area and reduced new account credit limits to attract a more elite group of consumers. Visa has partnered with Jackson & Coker (J&C), the nation's oldest and second largest physician recruiting firm in offering the new J&C Visa card to its locum tenens physicians. Offers for the new Jackson and Coker will be extended to the firm's healthcare professionals working on temporary assignment. Jackson & Coker, the Alpharetta, Georgia based firm, says the new credit card is being offered to meet the out-of-pocket needs of these physicians.
Although the main purpose is to pay for the physicians business related expenses, the credit card offers them the freedom of using he card as they wish including cash advances and personal and incidental items. Jackson & Coker will also automatically deduct the monthly charges from the client's reimbursement checks with no accrued interest. The added benefit makes it a convenient and low cost venture. The new J&C Visa credit card will give the company an advantage over other healthcare professional recruitment firms who require their clients to pay expenses out of their pocket and then submit documentation for reimbursement; a process that can sometimes take up to two weeks or more.
Jackson & Coker has been in business for nearly 30 years and has grown to be one of the nation's most prominent physician recruitment firms. The company specializes in the temporary and permanent placement of over 40 medical specialties. They are the recipients of the "Gold Seal" certification from the Joint Commission as a "Certified Healthcare Staffing Service." Jackson & Coker President Sandra Garrett said the new Visa credit card will be issued by one of the largest banks in the country; however, failed to release the name of the bank.
