Americans who have credit woos, difficulty meeting expenses from pay check to check, and unable to secure a credit card will now have another option. Urban Trust Bank (UTB) has announced the release of their new Urban Trust Success Visa prepaid debit card and the Elastic(TM) from Urban Trust Bank line of credit. The Urban Trust Success card is an alternative financial product for individuals who are not able to obtain a traditional credit card or financial product and rely heavily on cash. The card is flexible, secure, and best of all, low cost. Success card customers can use the card like a regular debit card. The card is accepted anywhere Visa debit and credit cards are accepted as well as withdraw cash at any ATM. The great part is that unlike regular checking accounts, the Success card has no overdraft fees.
Urban Trust Bank has also partnered with ThinkCash to offer the Elastic(TM). ThinkCash is a major provider of short term loans that consumers rely on to avoid more expensive overdraft and bounced check fees or to pay bills on time. The Elastic(TM) is an emergency line of credit available to anyone with a regular income. With the Elastic(TM), the consumer is able to access up to $500. The line of credit will also be available to Success card customers who cannot secure a traditional credit card and Urban Trust bank account customers. The objective is to provide the customer an educational experience to help them manage their money and rebuild credit. It will help them save money and eventually qualify for a traditional credit card.
