  • News:  Intuit GoPayment CC Payment Easier

Managing payment systems is a cumbersome task for small businesses. Accepting credit card payments requires either special equipment, access to the internet, or a landline. In today's high tech world, many individuals have cancelled landlines and rely totally on their cell phones. Field representatives are handicapped when these technologies are not available. It then requires they acquire the customer's credit card information for processing at a later time. Although once considered a convenience, they now present additional concerns. Customers are reluctant to hand out the information and small business owners are uncomfortable having it in their possession. Although most small business owners quickly shred the information, there continues to be security concerns. Intuit, the maker of QuickBooks, an accounting software program for small businesses, has launched their new cell phone payment system that addresses the concerns of all parties involved. Intuit's GoPayment safely and securely provides the convenience of processing credit card payments through their cell phones.

The GoPayment system can be run on any cell phone that has web access and does not require any special equipment purchase. The system is fast and easy, can process any major credit card, and provides instant approval. It is capable of sending a paid receipt directly to the customer via email or text message. Field workers just simply enter the credit card information into their cell phone or swipe the card with an optional blue tooth application and GoPayment sends an authorization code back within seconds. No card information is stored in the cell phone making it safe and secure. Small business owners have control and determine which employees are authorized to use the system. Customers feel more at ease and businesses don't have the added burdens associated with accepting checks or collecting payment.

GoPayment also has the capability of downloading the credit card transaction data directly into the small business's QuickBooks system. In addition to costing less than the standard method of card processing, the GoPayment system saves businesses money and time in managing account receivables. Intuit expects to expand the service to include other valuable features that will allow the field employee to easily capture additional information from the QuickBooks system.
