News: Alliance Partners With Pacific Dental
Recently, providers of health and dental care credit cards have received flak over questionable practices of healthcare providers in deceiving patients into signing up for the card. Typically, these types of cards also come with a higher than average interest rate and reaching as high as 30 percent. The idea in itself of a healthcare credit card is not a bad idea and in many cases would bring added relief to patients. However, these deceptive practices have given the market a tarnished name. Alliance Data Systems aims to change the image of the industry. The prominent provider of loyalty and credit card services announced its new partnership with Pacific Dental Services (PDS). Alliance will be launching its new branded card program for use to pay for dental procedures.
Based out of Irvine, California, PDS is a full service dentistry operations provider that offers dental practices office design, contract and operations management. The new branded Alliance credit card will be an added benefit for PDS clients by expediting dental services to their patients that might otherwise need to placed on hold due to lack of insurance or funds. Possible expenditures that patients could fund with their credit card would include braces, root canal, teeth whitening, and more. Typically, credit applications for other dental financing can be cumbersome and time consuming, however, the Alliance Data system provides an easy application process and quick approval.
The exact financial terms have not been disclosed, however, Alliance Data will be providing receivables funding, credit card authorization, monthly card statements, payment processing, customer service, and marketing services. The company will also integrate its system to allow PDS access for account acquisition. Pacific Dental first began in 1994 and is currently affiliated with 195 dental and orthodontic practices throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas. Alliance Data is headquartered in Dallas, Texas with offices worldwide. They are a leader in marketing solutions.
