News: USAePay Goes Mobile
On the heels of Apple’s iPad application, the Square, which allows individuals and businesses to process credit card payments, USAePay launched PaySaber. PaySaber will give Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and creator of the Square a run for his money. Dorsey in partnership with Apple, launched its version of the credit card payment processing program the Square which can now be downloaded free to iPad users. PaySaber can be used with the iPhone as well as the iPod touch. The device has a built-in encrypted card swiper designed to protect the user’s credit card data and personal information. It had the added protection of USAePay’s PCI certified payment gateway.
Ben Goretsky, CEO of USAePay said in his statement that the PaySaber is more than a credit card payment processing application. The program offers businesses a complete point-of-sale system which includes inventory control, a product database, and a customer database. The PaySaber design reduces transaction fees and chargebacks, It scans product barcodes, calculates taxes, accepts discounts, and calculates the totals the complete credit card transaction. Tracking transactions is easy with PaySaber. Receipts can be quickly and easily emailed to the customers or printed immediately upon completion of the transaction with the device’s integrated thermal printer. Additionally, receipts are coded for easy scanning in the event of a return or refund.
USAePay, a subsidiary of GorCorp, Inc., is a family owned and operated business specializing in credit card and check payment processing. In addition to supporting the iPhone and iPad, GorCorp serves e-commerce, mail order, telephone order, and the retail industry. The company’s systems turn any computer into a card payment machine.
