  • News:  Chase Releases Details On New Continental Rewards

Chase has revamped two of its most popular credit card rewards programs. Continental airline travelers carrying a Chase Presidential Plus Card will soon be sharing some new and prestigious rewards with Chase's new Continental Airlines OnePass Plus credit card. With the new program, travelers will enjoy a variety of exclusive rewards, travel benefits, premium customer service and protection benefits. Cardholders' new benefits also include new ways to earn and redeem their miles. David Gold, Senior Vice President, Chase Card Services, said the company redesigned its Continental credit card rewards program to meet the growing needs of today's travelers as they look to get more out of their rewards. According to Gold, the value is "unmatched" in the marketplace.

The program improves on the already existing Presidential Plus Card which services Continental's most loyal customers and frequent business flyers. These premier credit cardholders will benefit from free checked baggage, access to Continental Airlines President's Club, two miles for every $1 spent on Continental tickets purchased with the card and 24/7 customer and concierge service. As Chase launches its new OnePass Plus Card, both groups of cardholders will have a wider range of luxury hotel and resorts to choose from in which to redeem their credit card reward miles. The collection includes more than 650 of the world's finest hotels with daily complimentary breakfast for two, early check-in and late check-out, complimentary room upgrades and a special amenity such as a spa treatment, green fees or welcome gift.

Both groups of cardholders will have exclusive opportunities to redeem their OnePass miles at more than 60,000 hotels and car rentals as well as for flight credit on Continental Airlines and the other 26 Star Alliance ™ partners. Cardholders will also be able to redeem their miles for non-travel rewards such as special event tickets and brand name merchandise. Beginning in 2011, Elite OnePass Plus credit cardholders will be eligible for elite upgrades on domestic travel and unlimited complimentary First Class upgrades on flights operated by Continental. A new suite of travel and purchase protection benefits with higher coverage levels and new benefits such as Return Protection. Collision Damage Waiver coverage will now be available for both groups of cardholders. Travelers are encouraged to visit Chase's cardmembers site to learn more on how they can qualify for either a Continental Presidential Plus or OnePass Plus card at www.MyContinentalCards.com.
