News: TSYS Completes DnB NOR Conversion
Credit card customers of the DnB NOR Bank in Norway will now be managed by Total System Services, Inc. (TSYS) PRIME card and merchant management solution. TSYS will be managing the bank's nearly 2.9 million MasterCard and American Express credit cards. The conversion which first moved the 2.2 million MasterCard accounts and then phased in the remaining American Express accounts has now been completed. With the new system, DnB NOR Kort's credit card customers will receive cutting edge customer service. The two organizations worked together in design, planning and systems integration in completing the project which will allow DnB NOR Kort to achieve improved high volume transaction payment processing. The final phase involves migrating the remainder 0.7 million cards.
DnB NOR Kort will now have the capabilities to handle multiple credit card issuers on the same system. Additionally, PRIME will enable the company to support multiple languages and foreign currencies. The system is fully EMV compliant and will enable the bank to manage a variety of electronic payment systems including debit card, credit card, prepaid card and corporate cards. Bob Evans, Group Executive of TSYS International said that with TSYS and DnB NOR Kort working together, the bank will be able to maintain its competitive edge. DnB NOR Kort's CEO, Bjorn Tore Westby said that the company is excited about working with TSYS because of its reputation for delivering an economical high quality system.
