  • News:  U.S. Bank Offers LANPASS Visa

A partnership between U.S. Bank and LAN Airlines brings its customers a new way of earning travel rewards with the LANPASS Visa(R) Credit Card. LANPASS Visa(R) Card and LANPASS Visa(R) Signature Card cardholders can earn miles for travel to more than 70 destinations worldwide on Latin America's leading airlines when they use their LANPASS credit cards. In the release, Pablo Yunis, Vice President of LAN Airlines North American and Caribbean sectors, said that the company is dedicated to servicing their customers with the products and services that meet their needs. The airlines partnership with U.S. Bank in offering the exclusive LANPASS Visa Credit Card will extend customers options in making planning arrangements to the United States.

John Owens, Senior Vice President of U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions said that by drawing on the bank's long standing reputation for providing credit card frequent flyer programs LAN customers will enjoy even greater loyalty rewards and opportunities for travel. With their LANPASS Visa, cardholders will receive one LANPASS mile for every dollar they spend using their LANPASS Visa card. There are no caps on miles earned and they will also receive an annual discount of 10 to 20 percent for the first LAN ticket they purchase each year using their LANPASS Visa credit card. With each new LANPASS Visa card account opened, the cardholder will receive up to 20,000 bonus miles the first time they use their card. Signature cardholders will also receive double miles on LAN ticket purchases and a 25 percent mileage bonus on all LAN flights.

Customers of LAN affiliates will also be eligible for the same benefits as the LANPASS Visa credit card cardholders. LAN and its affiliates offer flights from its U.S. gateway in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, and San Francisco traveling to every major city in South America, including more than 30 destinations in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador. U.S.Bank has been an industry leader in issuing frequent flyer cards for decades and has been an avid supporter in the airline industry. The bank also provides card processing services for more than 80 airlines globally as well as support corporate and private aircraft fleets with the U.S. Bank Multi Service Aviation Card.
