News: Credit Card Balance (Justice Balance, That Is)
Reports are coming that Mr. Rubio's judgment should be called into question. Some $16,000 worth of credit card expenses have become clouded with suspicion. Sources give credit to Mr. Crist as being the "messenger". Mr. Rubio's response seems to be that Mr. Crist is using dirty tactics because he's a loser. My response would probably be that, if Mr. Crist were privy to possibly illegal credit card misuse and didn't speak up, wouldn't that make him a co-conspirator? That seems to have been the public suggestion with the Samsom case. Granted, nobody believes Mr. Crist was only being noble but, be that as it may, it is certainly not reasonable to dismiss the charges if their legitimate. Credit card trails have already busted a list of questionable practices in Tallahassee recently and yet – haven't we yet learned from the age-ole wisdom "Where there's smoke, there's (probably) fire"?
Why aren't we intelligent voters demanding public inquiries? What's with this "right to privacy" from public officials? This is not private-life stuff. The credit card trail is solid evidence of intent vs. rhetoric. Just about every convict who's caught will plead "it was only a mistake". We all know that what they really mean is, however, that the biggest mistake was getting caught. Shouldn't someone other than the accused make that determination? As I stated in my last article: 'Credit Card Trail Tail', "credit cards provide the evidence but in the end, voter common sense (or the lack of) will dictate the fate of justice."
In my next article, we'll explore the various aspects in question concerning Mr. Rubio and any perceived credit card indiscretions. For now, let's at least agree that our leaders need to be upright. We should demand of them that they don't deceive and hurt us voters in secret while making us feel good with their empty words.
