Verizon wireless has entered the anytime anywhere debit and credit card payment processing arena as it begins a new joint adventure with CHARGE Anywhere LLC. Verizon wireless customers will also have the option of direct billing to their mobile phone account. The convenience provides the company's wireless customers with the capabilities of processing debit and credit card payments from their mobile phones. Furthermore, according to Verizon, the application is a "secure reliable mobile credit card payment solution." Any individual or business conducting business with a Verizon Wireless Smartphone or Blackberry device will have the capabilities of utilizing the CHARGE Anywhere point-of-sale (POS) software. Customers will be able to download the required software anytime anywhere directly from their cell phone.
Record keeping will be easy with the CHARGE Anywhere application. Credit card payment processing receipts can be printed with an easily installed hardware printer with integrated card reader. Customers will also be capable of printing sales receipts or emailing them to the merchant's customer. Verizon Wireless customers can feel at ease knowing that the CHARGE Anywhere software is approved by the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) and passes all Payment Card Industry (PCI) credit card data security standards. The application uses strong encryption and prohibits merchants from storing cardholder's data or personal identification numbers (PIN).

QuickBooks users will be able to process debit and credit card payments directly from their QuickBooks interface and will automatically apply payments to their customers' payment screen.
